A Domestic Residency at My Parents, Manual, 2020
Unboxing the Manual, Film, 2020
Making, doing and cleaning out of necessity, obsession and care and how these can bridge parental relationships by using the physicality of a house. Producing a Manual on how to take part in the ‘Residency’ that includes a box of artefacts, activities and instructions for setting up an exhibition.
As one of the activities I sent out ‘Darning Care Kits’ to friends to teach them mending to do within their parent’s homes. These are the darning pages from a manual I produced called ‘A Domestic Residency At My Parents’ House’. Which can be seen as part of Fife Contemporary online exhibition; Resolve to Make it New.
