The shirt which is made from scrim is a direct material used in printmaking, particularly dry point when taking off the ink and rubbing it into the marks made onto the copper plate. It’s also being worn in two of the prints and all are either holding, or being surrounded by inanimate ceramic objects. The buttons on the shirt are also ceramic for this reason.
