Sophie-Nicole Dodds is a multidisciplinary artist and designer working across bespoke tailoring, printmaking, drawing, film, and participatory workshops. Her practice is informed by expanded fashion methodologies and investigates how garments and materials hold traces of touch, care, and memory through everyday encounters with cloth.

Through intimate research into clothing rituals and acts of un-wearing, Sophie juxtaposes her outdoor life with her inner, domestic world. Drawing from archives and personal experience, she creates bespoke fashion artefacts that use fashion systems as a means of expanding the field, rather than containing it.

Recent projects include Illuminating Objects at The Courtauld Gallery and a solo exhibition at the Constance Howard Gallery, where she presented installations and prints made from garment remnants, drawings, and historical pieces.

Sophie has extensive industry experience within the fashion and costume sectors and has worked closely with historical dress collections in museums and archives, including The Courtauld Gallery and Goldsmiths Textile Collection.
