Ceramics is where this collection stems from; aesthetically pleasing collecting objects that the eye is drawn to, to how the mind holds nostalgia with what are simply dead objects. Ceramicist Edmund De Waal was of huge influence with his thousands of repeated ceramic pots all specifically placed within his art compositions are reminiscenet with my tailoring practice of specifcally placed pockets and the act of traditional bespoke methods. Display is key to my work to arrange in groups united by their related forms and subtle variations in colour; creating a still-life atmosphere around the garments.
